Juicing Benefits
Juicing is one of the most beneficial ways of adding large nutrient doses into your diet. It will tremendously boost a SAD diet and compliments a raw food diet as well.
Fresh juices, like all raw foods, are loaded with nutrients. They have plentiful vitamins and also are a good source of essential minerals such as iron, magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, copper, iodine. In addition to these already known vitamins and minerals, there are thousands of other chemicals being discovered in plants all the time that are known as phytochemicals. These chemicals, one of the main objects of research right now, are changing the way scientists look at fruits and vegetables. They have found a substance in broccoli that protects against breast cancer and also many other phytochemicals have been found in green vegetables that offer protection against cancer causing substances. There are long lists of fruits and vegetables that contain these cancer preventing and other beneficial phytochemicals. Grapes have substances that protect our cells DNA from damage. Citrus fruits have ones that remove carcinogens. The list goes on and on. These chemicals are being proven to be the key to keeping our bodies healthy, free of cancer as well as degenerative illnesses, digestive problems and many diseases.
All raw fruits and vegetables are loaded with enzymes, which are retained in the juice as long as it is not heated or oxygenated. For this reason it is best to drink it as soon as possible after it is made or at least keep it covered to avoid as much air contact as possible. Chlorophyll is a substance found in all green leafy plants and has the same structure as the hemin in our blood, which is responsible for transporting oxygen. Green juices are full of chlorophyll, which is quickly absorbed and acts as a blood cleanser. Water is one substance that is crucial and essential for good health. The cells in our body are primarily made up of water, some as much as 80%. Juices are filled with water, and not just any water! They contain naturally pure filtered water. No chemical filter or purifier can create such a pure source of water that plants can.
Juice helps cellular cleansing. Fresh squeezed juice is nutritionally dense and these concentrated doses of nutrients, which are already broken down from the plants cell walls and readily assimilated by our bodies help our cells in their cleaning process. Also as there is hardly any digestive work needed the body has much more energy to use in cleansing, repairing and healing the cells. Cleansing is nothing new though, our bodies are constantly cleansing and our cells are constantly regenerating. These cells are little living entities just like us, they are constantly breathing, excreting, living, dying and getting replaced. Cleansing occurs because of this regeneration. Our body is constantly eliminating old cellular matter, up to 40% of each bowel movement is dead cells! Every cell in our bodies, even our bones and muscles, are being regenerated. Juices provide these trillions of cells, which make up our body with a fast intense dose of nutrients to help them purify themselves so they can live longer and healthier.
One of the biggest keys to good health is clean blood. The quality of our blood affects the health of the whole body. In order to have clean blood it is essential to have a clean liver, as all the blood in your body is constantly running through and being purified by it. It is removing waste and toxins from your blood every second of every day of your life. Fresh squeezed juice, which goes straight into your blood, goes straight into your liver as well. Fresh juices and whole foods cleanse the liver like nothing else. A clean liver will affect everything in your life from mental clarity to digestion ease and clear skin. It will affect the way you deal with stress and even enable you to sleep better. Pure blood and a clean liver will help all of the cells in your body to receive nutrition, rejuvenate and heal.
